From Wood Pellet to Contolled Cooking Heat
- A motor turns an auger which feeds pellets into a firebox.
- There, a hot rod (or auto igniter) automatically ignites the pellets, and a combustion fan keeps them burning.
- A fan inside the hopper maintains positive pressure which prevents burn-back in the auger tube.
- A sensor mounted inside the grill continually sends data to the on-board computer, and the controller adjusts the air and pellet flow to maintain the temperature you set.
Open Flame Technology
In one setting, GMG's 2-piece OFT drip tray contributes to the indirect heat you need to smoke-cook succulently tender cuts.
In the other, firepot exposure is increased, siginificantly boosting temperatures and exposing meats to a searing heat.
Just slide the top tray to open or close the OFT holes before use, or when it's cool to the touch.
